Merchantry is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Pre-Sales Engineer with eCommerce experience to join our growing New York team. Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Technical Trainer to plan, develop, and coordinate our in-house training programs for Merchantry employees, our partners, and our growing customer base. The Technical Trainer will work closely with our Product Management team to ensure correct and up-to-date product training implementation. The ideal candidate is a team-player and has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:

  • Working with the sales team during client visits, communicate technical product concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Give in-person and web-based presentations and answer technical questions from potential clients
  • Gather technical requirements from clients, preparing proposals and integration plans
  • Manage integration projects, acting as the interface between our professional services team and the client
  • Share technical expertise through knowledge of eCommerce processes and technologies

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer facing capabilities from both a technical and sales perspective
  • 5+ years of field or technical sales experience in Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Demonstrable experience of working with Tier 1 eCommerce websites
  • Demonstrated experience working with data manipulation and integration
  • A strong passion and interest in eCommerce, with solid knowledge of best practice and online trends
  • Solid project and resource management skills
  • Passion for creative problem solving, coupled with strong strategic and analytical skills
  • BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science required
  • Prior experience with Merchantry applications a strong plus
  • The candidate will be asked to demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the following areas:
  • Web development technologies (ideally from a hands on background) such as Javascript, PHP, XHTML and CSS
  • eCommerce platforms and data feeds
  • Enterprise integration strategies and best practice
